2. Build Your Selling Plan: This includes determining your list price, how aggressive your sale will be, and what your strategy is moving forward. Don't underestimate this step!

3. Preparing the Property: Depending on the home's condition and desirability, you and your agent will need to decide what's needed to put the property's best foot forward. This could include but is not limited to: Cleaning, making repairs deemed necessary, staging and eventually photographing the home when it's ready.

This also includes recording the home's new owner(s) at the County Recorder's office.

8. Release Possession: Depending on what was negotiated in the offer and course of escrow, the seller releases possession to the buyer and delivers keys, and anything else that goes with the home.
